At Dar al Hossoun, you can enjoy the tranquility of the place whilst walking around the gardens, painting, taking pictures, swimming or enjoying some traditional Moroccan cuisine at our cookery classes, or simply relaxing at the Spa or by the pool.
For those who wish to have a more active time, there are plenty to choose from: hikes, bike rides (bikes available on site), carriage rides, visits to the souks and tannery nearby, discovery of the “lost” valley of the High or Anti-Atlas region, Berber villages and tours of private homes and gardens.
Having travelled across Morocco for over 20 years and settled in Taroundant since 2009, we live and work in southern Morocco and would be happy to share with you our experiences, our outlook and stories during some of the many walks and trips we offer on a one-to-one basis.
Taroudant is the perfect place to discover the Souss area: Taroudant, the surrounding valleys and mountains, Agadir and the Atlantic coast…
We invite you to discover exceptional houses and gardens…
Some of the houses are authentic and have been restored, others are newer and built in traditional abode using traditional methods. The gardens and desert plants have adapted to the very dry conditions and at times extreme temperatures.
Whether you choose the outskirts of Taroudant or the city, we have put together some trips to make you discover secret and private places.
The Oued Souss fertile plains have become the “vegetable garden” of Europe in the last few decades. Greenhouses sheltering banana plantations and other vegetables grown out of season as well as citrus fruit plantations can be found next to fertile valleys where traditional cultures have remained for over 2000 years!
The walking trips we offer give you the opportunity to visit authentic Berber villages, discover the rural life of the area and the chance to see diverse natural environments.
Dar al Hossoun is about an hour drive from the Atlantic Ocean…
Whether you fancy a trip into town or discovering the nature around you, it’s easy to have a change of scenery for a day.
If you fancy a great wilderness tour, you can visit the Massa Natural Park and the bird sanctuary with lunch overlooking the ocean and kilometers of unspoiled beaches where one feels “at the other end of the world”.
